What Is Endodontics?
Having problems watching this video? Watch it here on YouTube.
Endodontics is a branch of dentistry that specializes in the dental pulp or the inside of your tooth. The pulp tissue contains blood vessels, nerves, and other tissue, which help develop your tooth’s root.
If you suffer from decay or a cracked tooth, the pulp can become infected and filled with bacteria. In turn, this causes the nerves within the pulp to become inflamed, resulting in a severe toothache. Endodontic treatment (or root canal therapy) is necessary to relieve pain and restore the health of your tooth.
Although root canals have a reputation for being painful (they really aren’t), you can feel confident in the solutions available at Advanced EndoCare. Our Fishers endodontist…Learn more about our dentist… is a true specialist. Through her modern techniques and highly comprehensive care, Dr. Stuart will make this procedure both comfortable and smooth.

Root Canals

A root canal is one of the most common dental procedures performed – well over 14 million every year. A root canal is required when the pulp (nerves/blood vessels) in the center of your tooth becomes infected and causes pain.
To eliminate the infection, Dr. Stuart will numb the area around the tooth, and then clean out the root canal system.
Once free of disease, the canal is filled with a composite material to maintain the tooth structure. It is then sealed with a metal-free filling that blends seamlessly with your smile. In some cases, you may need a crown to protect the injured tooth.

At Advanced EndoCare…Learn more about our dentist on the homepage…, we aren’t just advanced in name but in nature too! During your initial exam, we use innovative 3D technology (CBCT scanners) to assess your tooth and devise a plan to restore it to health.
CBCT scanners have a significant influence on your treatment plan. Dr. Stuart uses these images to identify the cause of your pain accurately and can showcase why you need a recommended procedure.
What’s more, the problem of incorrect, delayed, or inadequate endodontic diagnosis and treatment planning has been eliminated thanks to this technology.
When you visit our office, we also check for any signs of potential dental issues. We want you to enjoy a beautiful, all-round healthy smile!
This procedure is truly ground-breaking! Using tissue engineering or stem cell therapy, our experts can promote growth in teeth that would otherwise be compromised. Teeth with short roots, thin walls, or undeveloped nerves can enjoy fresh development.
This biological treatment is especially helpful for those with premature adult teeth or who are suffering from extensive root canal issues.
When you are in extreme pain or if you have a complication after a root canal, please call our office.
Our team of endodontic specialists is here to help with over-the-phone advice or same-day emergency appointments.

I had my root canal done today with Advanced EndoCare. I have to say due to my past experience with a root canal at a different clinic, I was terrified. But the positivity and laughter of the whole team made me feel right at home. I was shocked when I was told, ''You're all done!'' Dr. Stuart is the best out there. Thanks, Kathryn! You're the best.
