Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation explaining your diagnosis and treatment options. In order to better understand your treatment needs, one of our specialists may advise one or more of our imaging options detailed below. Occasionally, treatment can be done the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day. When dealing with emergency cases we provide treatment as needed for each patient.
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:
- A list of medications you are presently taking.
- If you have medical or dental insurance, bring the necessary completed forms. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.
- Completed forms provided below.
Our office provides 2D digital radiography at the time of your consultation and treatment for no additional charge.
Cone beam imaging is a new technology that allows our specialists to take hundreds of images of a patient’s craniofacial region and compile them into one 3D image. The resulting 3D image can be maneuvered to examine the teeth, sinus cavities and bone structure of the mandible and maxilla. Our endodontists use these images to see tooth anatomy, root fractures, additional canals and resorption or a breakdown in tooth structure. Advanced EndoCare is please to have a Kodak Carestream Cone Beam machine in our Carmel office. Patients can have a cone beam scan completed and review the images with the doctor during the same visit to discuss the treatment options available. The entire procedure is quick, painless, safe and convenient. If you would like to see how a cone beam scan can benefit you, please call Advanced EndoCare.
Sirona’s technology extends diagnostic X-ray imaging potential in the fields of implantology, endodontics, periodontics, oral/maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics. The visualization tools available in the software enable practitioners to reduce risk in different treatments, plan surgical interventions, coordinate planning treatment with referring doctors and explain treatments to patients with greater clarity and accuracy.
Sirona 3D imaging with new Cone Beam technology goes beyond traditional diagnostics and treatment capabilities by calculating a large volume 3D image set, more than 200 exposures, in a single low-dose 3D scan of 15 seconds or less. GALILEOS not only shows 3D displays in perfect image quality, but also enables clear navigation and diagnosis in the traditional panoramic, cephalometric and cross-sectional displays.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) allows 3-D visualization of the oral and maxillofacial complex from any plane. The 14 second scan offers a large volume for every display type – 3D, panorama, CEPH, and cross sectional (TSA) slices with smaller radiation than that produced by medical CT. The radiation is the equivalent of 4 bitewings.
We want you to receive the best dental care possible, that’s why we invested in the latest technology in dental diagnostics, the Galileos® 3D Dental Conebeam.
•Lowest radiation possible
•Quick, easy and comfortable scan of the mouth, face and jaw
•Immediate virtual diagnosis and treatment planning in one visit
•More security and less time during surgery
•Easy sharing of images with referring doctors
Please feel free to contact our office with any questions regarding the Galileos 3D Imaging system.
