Why might you need root end surgery?

What Is an Apicoectomy?

A simple surgical treatment for fast and effective relief.

Simply put, an apicoectomy is a tooth root filling. This procedure is needed when your root becomes infected, or an abscess has formed. Usually, this issue occurs when bacteria hide in the narrow canals of your tooth root and impacts the surrounding bone.

When this happens, traditional root canal therapy may not be enough, so Dr. Stuart often recommends this surgical treatment.

To diagnose the source of your tooth pain, our endodontist in Fishers, IN…Learn more about our dentist… will use a CBCT scanner to capture 3D images of your tooth.

This modern technology allows us to identify if surgery is required and makes it simple for our experts in planning the procedure accurately.

If you are experiencing severe tooth pain, then please contact our office.

Surgical Precision

A small incision is made in your gum tissue to reveal the bone. Your endodontist then carefully removes the infected tissue and the tip of the tooth root.

Innovative ultrasonic instruments are used to create space for a small filling to seal the root canal.

The gum is then sealed with a few stitches and left to heal. Over time, the bone will heal around the tooth root and restore the integrity of the tooth.

The best dental care one can possibly receive in Fishers and possibly all of Indiana. I would highly recommend this facility to any friend or family member without a single worry.
