The following case is an example of surgical apicoectomy completed at Advanced EndoCare.
Surgical Case 2:
This case displays tooth #20 having a periapical radiolucency (infection) at the end of the root also known as the apex. Due to a very sizeable post, a surgical root canal was performed. The post-operative radiographic image demonstrates unhealed but debrided bone. The 1 year post-operative image shows healthy bone regenerating in the surgical site. This apicoectomy displays a successful result without the extraction (pulling) of the tooth.
